Medhavi Foundation is an education and skill development organisation established in 2012 with a vision to bridge the gap between industry demand and workforce capabilities across vocational sectors. Through skill development, livelihood development and women empowerment initiatives, the Foundation creates sustainable opportunities and drives socio-economic mobility for underserved communities.
Medhavi Foundation is the sponsoring body of Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim, and is registered as a not-for-profit organisation under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956. The Foundation has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation, State Skill Missions and leading employers to build industry-aligned skill ecosystems. With a nationwide presence, it has transformed the lives of over 6,00,000 youth through intensive skill training across multiple sectors, facilitating employment and self-employment opportunities.

Medhavi Foundation, under MSDE and NSDC, operates nine Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs) across India. These centres implement Government of India skill development initiatives, including PMKVY and programmes of five Central Ministries. They provide short-term training, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), reskilling and upskilling programmes aligned with industry requirements and national skilling priorities.
Medhavi Foundation has partnered with 20+ state-led skilling missions across India to implement region-specific skill development initiatives. Through collaborations with State Skill Development Missions, including UPSDM, THLM, Samagra Shiksha, DAY-NULM, NIELIT, PBSSD and others, the Foundation bridges the gap between academic learning and employability, making trainees industry-ready.
Medhavi Foundation collaborates with leading CSR partners such as Emami, Ambuja Neotia, Tata Steel, HDFC Parivartan and ECL. These partnerships promote inclusive skill development across regions, uplifting SHGs, underserved communities through education, employment and entrepreneurship.
Medhavi Foundation also runs self-financed skill programmes through Medhavi Skills University. These include Electrical and Plumbing certification programmes at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with Helping Hands NGO and a Diploma in Hospitality and Hotel Operations at the Aizawl Centre.
The programmes offered by Medhavi Foundation are accredited and aligned with the standards of various Sector Skill Councils and NCVET-recognised Awarding Bodies. The Foundation delivers training programmes across 24 industry sectors, including Tourism & Hospitality, Automotive, Plumbing, Capital Goods, Healthcare, Apparel, Made-ups & Home Furnishing, Power, Beauty & Wellness, Logistics, Rubber, Chemical & Petrochemical, Management & Entrepreneurship, Electronics, Green Jobs, Telecom, Textiles, Construction, Handicrafts, Food Processing, Retail and IT/ITeS. These programmes are designed to equip learners with industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability across diverse sectors of the economy.

Pan India Presence Medhavi Foundation has its operations spread across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram with 400+ vocational centres/ skill academies including 12 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs). MSU and its industry partners are running courses across India through Work Integrated Skill-based Higher Education (WISE) initiative.
